Does Business Owner Their Success to Marketing Channels?
#1
A marketing channel is a set of practices or activities necessary to transfer the ownership of goods from the point of production to the point of consumption. It is the way products and services get to the end-user, the consumer; and is also known as a distribution channel.

The more channel a business has, the faster they can launch a successful product. It is about maximum exposing and the probability of customer making a purchase decision. There are many fun gadgets that is not a necessity and have good channels sell better than a necessity that has few marketing channel. No matter how great a product is, if it is not being distributed correctly, it will not become a household brand.

I thought of some of the key channels:
  • Silk Road open up land trade route for China, Middle East and Europe
  • Cheng Ho voyage that open up sea trade routes
  • Railroad Era speed up the delivery and travel, introducing culture and education
  • Airline create effective international business
  • Telecommunication allow live decision to be made
  • Internet - the most powerful channel ever created
  • Future channels - no idea what could it be, but the development should be underway
Those who own the most channels are the most successful businessman. Be it new product or product upgrade, when they can be distributed effectively, consumer will continue to support them, religiously, for some case.

This is the interesting thing. Do they invent the channel first, of is it because they have something to trade therefore they explored the channel?
