The business owner should be the best salesperson of the company

I been to a lot of networking and meet a number of business owners.

These business owner have a great idea but lack of sales skill and is quite obvious they are struggling. There are some lucky business owner who has good salesperson or partner bringing in the money for them.

Ideas and products can exist anywhere, but with sales they are worth nothing.
  • A good salesperson can sell anything.
  • A good product potentially can be sold by itself.
  • A good salesperson and a good product is the best case scenario.

If the owner cannot sell, he cannot expect his staff to sell for him. He will need the experience and skill to train his salesperson. A lot of owner have this mentality that once you have a salesperson, your business will grow. If you don't understand why your business don't grow, please don't blame the salesperson. Ask yourself can you do what you expect the salesperson to do? If no, start changing yourself.

Life is about sales, you sell yourself first because selling your product. Indeed a lot of people do not know how to sell. They are so proactive they wait for things to happen.
