Why Should You Use "Look for Investment" Forum?
#1
There are plenty of investment products in the market where you can do an Internet search and plenties will emerge. Your banker or financial advisers will recommend you products even when you not looking for it. Whatever product you come across, it is always good to have a second opinion and hear from other savvy investors about their prior experience. As a salesperson of the company, we will never bad mouth our own products and because we need your business therefore every product will be the best of the best.

Many tips on the Internet or from your close ones will never be sufficient in enough to deter you from making a mistake. You are advised to view the investment products from different angles from short term (1-5 years), mid term (5-10 years) and long term (10+ years). Also the fine print and other between-the-line information. Most of the investment are subjected to the market and how much will it affect you. Some better ones have early termination or liquidity policy, while others have add on perks like insurance coverage or equity value.

Investment is so huge and it is considered both science and art. The technicality part will always remain the same and the market always revolve around greed and fear. The art part is how it is being applied to you in a creative and meaningful way that existing science cannot explain. Some people are exceptionally suitable for some product.

Nevertheless, I urge investors to use this forum to specify what kind of investments they are interested to invest and the kind of period. You may follow the guideline here:

Returns, choose a return of a range that you are looking at
  • 3% per annum
  • 8% p.a.
  • 10% p.a.

  • 5% p.m.
  • Others
Period, how long you intend to invest and let the broker discuss the lockdown period with you
  • 1 month
  • 3 months
  • 6 months
  • 1 year
  • 2 years
  • 3 years

  • $50 - <$250
  • $250 - <$500
  • $500 - <$1,000
  • $1,000 - <$5,000
  • $5,000 - <$10,000
  • $10,000 - <$50,000
  • $50,000 - <$120,000
  • $120,000 - <$250,000

If you have low capital like $500 and looking at one time investment, it is not recommended as the return will be insignificant. Use that money for your business or other usage to expand through manual ways first before investing.

For example:

Returns: 2% p.m.
Period: 1 year
Capital: ~$150,000
Funding mode: one-time & reinvest
Industry or preferred instrument: any

I think we should do more than this, people are getting scammed by the minute. Is there anyway we can let them post complaints and form a team to take effective actions?
